The Trilobe idea
The idea was born out of a desire to explore new possibilities in the world of watchmaking.
Paving the way for a new reading of the passage of time
Trilobe is not just a simple innovation but a new interpretation of watchmaking, symbolizing both a break from convention and continuity. Trilobe breaks free from historical codes of how time is represented, while preserving tradition and know-how.
There is no absolute
Since man has learned to measure it, time has remained frozen on a dial, while the hands, whether solar or mechanical, are mobile. However, there is no absolute way of representing the passing time. Despite the norms created by man, there is a whole host of other possible frames of reference.
A change of reference system
Trilobe reverses the reference system of watchmaking: time starts moving, while its indicators become fixed. As the components of time move away from traditional codes, they urge us to take a different look at the passage of time.
It is 8 hours, 0 minutes and 8 seconds.
Taking time to look at the time is a form of luxury.
A few moments are all it takes to grasp this new way of telling the time.
